Happy new year! I hope you are having a great start into 2026.
Over the holidays, between some travels and family time, I gave myself space to reflect on strategy, both for my own business and for the women I support.
One thing is clear: in 2026, your personal brand on LinkedIn is not optional. It is your reputation, your positioning, and your visibility, all in one place.
I am sooo excited for 2026 and with all my heart I believe that this is going to be the year where a lot of things will change on LinkedIn.
If you are just getting started or you want to show up in a better, clearer way, this is your guide to what is working right now, and how to make it work for you.
In 2026, personal branding is not just a modern word, it is a business asset.
Your personal brand is the perception people have of you before they ever speak to you. It is how your name, message, and expertise live in someone’s mind. On LinkedIn, that brand is built through your profile, your content, and your consistency.
When your LinkedIn profile and content consistently reflect who you help, how you help them, and why it matters, people begin to trust you. That trust is what turns attention into connection, and connection into opportunity.
A well-developed personal brand makes you easier to remember, easier to refer, and easier to hire.
The platform has evolved. Here are three shifts shaping visibility this year:
Here is where I recommend you focus to start building or strengthening your presence:
Step 1: Get clear on your message
Before anything else, answer these questions:
This is the foundation of your personal brand. It shapes every post and every part of your profile.
Step 2: Optimise your profile
Your LinkedIn profile should reflect where you are today, not where you were two years ago.
Make sure it includes:
If your profile needs a refresh, I would be happy to support you with that. You can book a LinkedIn optimisation session HERE.
Step 3: Post to build trust
Number of posts do not matter so much, don’t try to set records in posting every day on LinkedIN. Just show up with something honest and useful.
You might share a story from a client session, a mindset shift, or something you wish more people knew about your work. Speak to one person- your ideal client, and focus on connection, not reach.
Step 4: Keep the conversation open
This is very important that many of us miss- make it easy for people to stay connected. Add your newsletter or free resource to your profile. Mention it in your posts. Let people know how they can learn more from you, without pressure.
Choose one step this week. Maybe you update your headline. Maybe you write a post. Maybe you finally say what you really think about something in your industry.
It’s very easy to believe you need to be more professional, bolder, or more strategic to succeed online. But often, what people need most is someone who sounds like a real human. Someone they can trust and who shows up with honesty and consistency.
You already have everything you need to begin. Start now and just keep going.
Your presence matters more than you think.
And one more thing…
Starting this year, I’ll be hosting free monthly Q&A calls all about LinkedIn. A space to ask your questions, brainstorm together, get clarity, and connect.
The first one is on 27 January at 11am CET. You can register HERE, and if you want, submit your question in advance.
I would love to see you on the call!
And as always, if you need support, you know where to find me
